How Nose Beautification Works:
Rhinoplasty, or a “nose job” is one of the most common of all facial plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can be used to reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip.
It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems. If you’re self-conscious about your nose, you may be a good candidate.
Dr. Troell is board certified in facial plastic surgery as well as in ear, nose, and throat also known as Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. Rhinoplasty is one of Dr. Troell’s specialties of which he has co-developed and published two novel surgical procedures for enhancing both nasal appearance and function. This training provides you, the patient, with the highest level of training and expertise to ensure your satisfaction with the procedure.
To start your Nose Beautification or Rhinoplasty procedure, Dr Troell will examine your entire facial structure and the specific structure of your nose, both externally and internally. You are most likely to be pleased with the results of your surgery if you have a realistic idea of what is possible surgically. After you and Dr. Troell agree on the desired effect and surgical procedure to achieve it, you will receive general anesthesia and the surgery will be completed.
Immediately after surgery, a small splint will be placed on your nose to protect it and to keep the structure stable for about five days. You can expect mild facial bruising and swelling for several days. Pain medication is usually required for only one to three days.
