Types of Wrinkle Relaxers
Dr. Troell offers three types of FDA-approved wrinkle relaxers - Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. All three are derived from Botulinum type A, but there are some key differences between them.
Botox

Dysport
Dysport has a very similar formula to Botox, but with a different dilution. Dysport tends to spread further once injected, making it very effective for treating larger wrinkles.
Xeomin
Out of the three wrinkle relaxer brands, Xeomin is the only one that does not contain any additives, which reduces the chances of an allergic reaction.

Wrinkle relaxer patients should be adults who have developed moderate to severe wrinkles. Patients should not have any serious health conditions and should not be pregnant or nursing. Recovery From Wrinkle Relaxers - What to Expect
After your injections, you may notice some minor swelling, redness, or bruising. This will go away after a few days. You will be able to resume your normal routine, but we encourage you to avoid exercising for the first day or so after injections.
Keep in mind that your wrinkles will look the same for the first few days after treatment, as it takes time for the injections to work. You'll start to notice results after three to seven days.
Since this treatment isn't permanent, you'll start to notice the results wearing off after three to five months. We encourage you to schedule follow-up appointments to maintain your results.
