Dr. Robert James Troell is currently practicing in a solo practice in and Newport Beach, California and Las Vegas, Nevada, specializing in aesthetic facial plastic surgery, face and body liposculpting as well as facial and body fat grafting.
He completed a residency and fellowship from Stanford University Medical Center in 1995 and was a Clinical Professor at Stanford University Medical Center for seven years teaching medical students, residents, fellows and visiting post-doctoral fellows from other nations.
He was a member of the prestigious Facial Reconstructive Surgery practice in Palo Alto, California with three colleagues specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Troell also completed training with the inventor and developer of the tumescent liposuction technique as well as the worlds leading authority on water-jet assisted liposuction and is a member of the American Society of Liposuction Surgery.
He has published over 14 book chapters and forty scientific manuscripts in peer reviewed journals on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery topics. He is considered an expert by his peers and has made approximately 130 domestic and international presentations at medical conferences.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree and later a Medical Degree from the University of South Florida.
He completed an twelve year career with the United States Navy as Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Oakland Naval Hospital. During his tenure with the Navy he received the prestigious Meritorious Service Medal for rescuing a civilian trapped under the rubble of a fallen building in the aftermath of an earthquake.
